Don't forget to have your say about UNESCO biosphere nomination

Sunshine Coast residents are encouraged to have their say on a proposed biosphere nomination before formal community consultation closes on June 28.

Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson said council has spoken to thousands of people across the Sunshine Coast local government area about its proposal to nominate the Sunshine Coast Council area as a UNESCO biosphere.

"We've heard from more than 500 people who have completed our online survey, we've spoken to more than 3000 community members and held 87 community information sessions," Mayor Jamieson said.

"But we want more people to get involved," Mayor Jamieson said.

"That's why I'm encouraging everyone to head to council's Have Your Say website
