Kiama Municipal Council wishes to advise that all the documents relating to next Tuesday's Ordinary Meeting are now available on its website.
The draft budget for 2026-27, Delivery and Operational Plan (DPOP), Fees and Charges, and a report containing the budget-related information and options for a potential Special Rate Variation (SRV) are in a supplementary business paper which is also available online.
These documents will be considered by Council on Tuesday (21 April).
The draft budget is in line with the recent Budget Parameters Report and the initiatives required to achieve the break-even operating result, including reductions to services and staffing establishment.
If the draft budget, DPOP and Fees & Charges are endorsed for public exhibition at Tuesday's meeting, these documents will be placed on public exhibition for a minimum of 28 days, during which time Council encourages the community to have their say via our website and other channels.
Council reiterates that no decisions have been made on any aspect of the draft budget, and the final version will be made publicly available via Council's website before it returns to Council for endorsement in June.
Prior to next Tuesday's meeting, a Public Forum will be held at Kiama Council Chambers on Monday at 5pm.
There are 25 seats available to members of the public in the Council Chambers for the Public Forum and the Ordinary Meeting at 5pm on Tuesday. No gathering in the customer service area is permitted as this space is a workplace.
Both meetings will be livestreamed via the Kiama Council website via www.kiama.nsw.gov.au/Council/Council-meetings/Livestream.
Any members of the public who would like to address the Public Forum are encouraged to do so by contacting Kiama Council on 4232 0444 before 11am on Monday.
