Kiama Council is excited to celebrate Youth Week 2026 in the upcoming Autumn School Holidays with Kiama Youth Fest, a free community event on Thursday 16 April, from 10am to 3pm at Hindmarsh Park.
Kiama Youth Fest is proudly hosted by Kiama Council's SENTRAL Youth Services, which works year-round to create safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities for people aged 12-24 across our community. Through programs, events and youth-led initiatives, SENTRAL Youth Services continues to build strong connections and meaningful pathways for young people to grow, contribute and thrive.
This year's Youth Week theme, "Dream. Dare. Do.", encourages young people to dream big, take positive steps toward their goals, and celebrate their unique contributions to the community.
Kiama Youth Fest will bring together local young people for a day filled with live music, creative workshops, youth markets, service stalls and hands-on activities. The event has been shaped with young people and delivered in collaboration with local youth organisations, schools and community groups.
Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald said Youth Week plays a crucial role in inspiring and empowering young people across the Kiama region.
"Youth Week is a chance for young people in our community to be heard, celebrated and encouraged to pursue their ambitions. Kiama's young people bring incredible energy and ideas, and we're proud to support them."
Youth Week runs across NSW from 16 to 26 April, offering young people aged 12 to 24 opportunities to attend events, showcase creativity, participate in competitions, advocate for issues that matter to them and connect with their peers.
Kiama Council is proud to support SENTRAL Youth Services in creating free activities and events designed to foster connection and celebrate youth contributions.
Council thanks the NSW Government Office for Youth for supporting Kiama Youth Fest with grant funding.
