The Andrews Labor Government is making sure jobseekers in Melbourne’s south-east have the best chance of finding a job – with a vital interview preparation service to expand.
Minister for Industry and Employment Ben Carroll today visited Dress for Success Mornington Peninsula at its new Frankston store to announce $108,000 to help them support more clients.
Dress for Success already offers its services to women and will now launch a pilot program to expand its free outfitting service, interview preparation and career workshops to 150 men.
The funding will also enable Dress for Success to launch a new computer literacy program, offering older women access to workshops to improve their digital skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Dress for Success is operated by a network of dedicated volunteers and has provided free pre-employment support services for unemployed women for over ten years.
The organisation is one of ten organisations receiving over $2 million in grants under Round Two of the Jobs Victoria Innovation Fund, which supports new and innovative approaches to employment services.
The Innovation Fund is part of the Labor Government’s $90 million Jobs Victoria program which has supported more than 8,500 Victorians into work since 2016.
