Drink drive impound in Woodend

A woman will face an out of sessions court hearing shortly after being caught drink driving in Woodend this morning, Victoria Police say.

The 50-year-old woman was intercepted on Anslow Street about 11.20am.

A Macedon police unit recognised the woman’s vehicle and pulled her over.

The unlicensed driver subsequently returned a reading of 0.04 per cent BAC.

The woman was the sole occupant of her car and told police that she had needed to go shopping.

Her vehicle was impounded and she will also be charged with a range of traffic offences.

Police will apply to remand the woman at an out of sessions court hearing this afternoon.
