Drink drive you will get caught, SA

Leading up to the Easter break - police are reminding drivers again not to drink and drive following three high range drink drivers recorded overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 7pm last night, a police patrol stopped a man driving a car on Kensington Road, after he was travelling at just 15km/h. The 59-year-old man from Kensington Gardens was breath tested allegedly returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.211 or more than four times over the legal limit of 0.05.

Then just after 7.30pm, an RBT station on Main North Road at Gawler, stopped a 33-year-old man from Salisbury Heights driving and breath tested him. He allegedly returned a reading of 0.152 or more than three times over the limit.

And just before 3am this morning, a police patrol stopped a man driving on Grand Junction Road at Port Adelaide for a random breath test. The 32-year-old man from Pennington was reported for drink driving after he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.177
or more than three times over the limit.

All three drivers had their driver's licence disqualified for 12 months, their cars were impounded for 28 days and they will also be summoned to appear in court at a later date.

Police wish to remind all road users of the dangers of drink and drug driving. Road safety is a shared responsibility and requires everyone to work together to help reduce the road toll.
