A man has had his licence suspended for 12 months after a crash in Adelaide in the early hours of this morning, according to SA Police.
Police will allege that about 5.15am on Saturday 19 May, a patrol attempted to stop a Mazda station wagon on Grenfell Street after it was driving without lights on.
The car sped off from police, who did not pursue the car due to the weather conditions.
The Mazda then drove through a red light, and later collided with a Ford sedan as it turned at the intersection of Grenfell Street and East Terrace.
Two women and a man in the Ford were not injured, and neither was the Mazda driver.
The driver of the Mazda, a 30-year-old Windsor Gardens man underwent a breath test which returned a positive reading of 0.217.
He was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, and driving unlicenced. His car was impounded for 28 days, and he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
