Driver blows 0.320 after ute hits cars - Mosman

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after he allegedly hit parked cars and committed multiple traffic offences across Sydney's North Shore overnight.

Police were called to Cobblers Beach carpark near Middle Head Road and Governors Road, Mosman, about 7.40pm (Sunday 6 December 2020), after reports a Ford Ranger had struck multiple parked cars and drove away.

The utility was then allegedly driven down Middle Head Road on the incorrect side of the road and against the traffic through a roundabout.

Police will allege the driver then crashed through a boom gate, trespassing onto Australian Government land.

A short time later the vehicle was stopped by North Shore Highway Patrol on Middle Head Road.

The driver, a 40-year-old man, provided a positive roadside breath test and was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.320.

The man has been charged with drive with high-range PCA, negligent driving, not drive left of traffic island in roundabout, trespass on prohibited Commonwealth land, disobey no entry sign-motor vehicle, and not give particulars to owner of damaged property.

The Kirrawee man is due to appear before Manly Local Court on Thursday 14 January 2021.

His licence was suspended.
