Driver caught speeding 60km/h over limit - Eastern Creek

An unlicensed driver has been fined after being detected allegedly travelling at more than 60 km/h over the marked speed limit in Sydney's west.

About 12.50pm Tuesday (23 June 2020), Traffic and Highway Patrol Officers attached to Strike Force Puma observed a red Mercedes Benz allegedly travelling at 160 km/h in a signposted 100km/h zone on the M4 Motorway, Eastern Creek.

Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 31-year-old driver.

Checks revealed the man had never held an Australian licence.

He was issued a Court Attendance Notice for exceed speed more than 45km/h.

The man is due to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday 19 September 2020.
