Driver caught speeding at 180KMPH in Patterson Lakes

Moorabbin Highway Patrol officers have impounded a vehicle after it was allegedly detected travelling at 180km/h on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway.

The white Ford Territory was pulled over in Patterson Lakes about 9.10am on 14 June.

It will be alleged the vehicle was unregistered.

The driver, a 31-year-old Frankston man, underwent drug and alcohol testing which indicated the presence of an illicit substance in his system.

He was also found to be in breach of interlock conditions

The vehicle was impounded for a period of 30 days and the driver will be charged on summons to front court at a later date.
