Driver crashes into house at Hillcrest, SA

A learner driver has been reported after crashing his car into a house at Hillcrest, according to SA Police.

Just after 6.30pm on Sunday, 25 June police and emergency services were called to a house in Kelham Street after reports that a Ford sedan had crashed in the lounge room of the property.

The male driver and his female passenger were not injured, and the occupants of the house also escaped unharmed.

The driver, a 20-year-old Gawler man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.120.

He was reported for aggravated driving without due care, exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and breaching his learner’s permit conditions.

He was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence notice, and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
