A driver has died during a crash northeast of Canberra overnight.
About 8.50pm (Sunday 2 August 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Tarago and Currandooley Road, Lake George, about 40km northeast of Canberra, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and found that a Ford utility had crashed causing the vehicle to roll and eject the driver from the car.
The driver – a 43 -year-old man – was treated by a passing driver before NSW Ambulance paramedics attended to continue treatment; however, he died at the scene.
Police have commenced an investigation into the incident, and a report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
