Driver Dies After Truck Crash - Central Coast

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the state's Central Coast.

About 6.40am today (Friday 27 February 2026), emergency services were called to the M1 Pacific Motorway, Somersby, following reports a semi-trailer had crashed into a guard rail.

Fire and Rescue NSW worked to extinguish a fire after fuel had spilled on the road and caught alight.

The male driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to Central Coast Traffic and Highway Patrol have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
