Driver Dies When Ute Rolls East Of Moree

A driver has died after a single-vehicle crash about 80km east of Moree overnight.

Emergency services were called to Allan Cunningham Road at Warialda Rail, just before 11pm (Monday 1 December 2025), and found a vehicle had left the roadway at the Oakey Creek bridge crossing, overturned and rolled into a creek and caught fire.

Rural Fire Service officers attended and extinguished the fire.

An examination of the vehicle revealed the driver had died at the scene.

Officers attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
