Driver flees, passenger injured after crash in Yagoona

Police are appealing for information after a crash in Sydney's south-west, in which the driver fled the scene, leaving a trapped passenger.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Hume Highway and Auburn Road at Yagoona just after 1am (Monday 11 February 2019), following reports a Mitsubishi Magna had hit a parked car.

After the crash, the driver fled the scene on foot.

The male passenger was found unconscious in the vehicle and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command are working to identify the driver.

He was last seen running north on Auburn Road, towards Stacey Street.
