Investigators have spoken to the driver of a ute as they continue to investigate a crash in Sydney's south-west earlier this week.
About 3.20pm Monday (25 May 2026), emergency services responded to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car in the westbound lanes of Milperra Road, Revesby, between Edgar Street and Mons Road.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated a 12-year-old boy at the scene before he was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene where officers from the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) were contacted to attend.
Police were told the rear passenger side of a ute hit the boy before the vehicle drove from the scene.
Following inquiries and a public appeal for information, the driver – a 50-year-old man – presented to Bankstown Police Station, and spoke to officers about 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 May 2026).
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
