Driver lucky to escape serious injury after Morphettville crash, SA

A man avoided serious injury after his car collided with a house in Morphettville in the early hours of this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.30am, police and emergency services were called to Hendrie Street, after reports that a Mazda sedan had crashed into the front of a house.

The male driver, a 32-year-old Oaklands Park man was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of minor injuries. A blood sample will be taken to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

No one was injured inside the house.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision, and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
