The body of a 60-year-old man was recovered today after a suspected drowning near Stokes Hill Wharf.
Police received a report of a body in the water around 11.45 am.
Witnesses say the man dived from a boat to recover a dinghy but got into difficulty and drowned before he could be rescued.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
