Drug Charges, Cleveland

Police have charged a man with drug offences after they executed a search warrant at a Cleveland residence last week.

It will be alleged officers located a large quantity of cannabis plants growing in a portable enclosure located in the back yard of a property on 5 June.

Along with 17 plants found at the property, it will also be alleged they located a number of bags of packaged cannabis in a bedroom.

A 51-year-old Cleveland man has been charged with one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possess utensils or pipes.

He was bailed and is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on 7 July.
