Drug charges for posting cannabis

A joint operation has led to the arrest of an SA man for allegedly trafficking cannabis between States.

Between Sunday 1 and Friday 20 August Western District Detectives commenced a joint investigation with Queensland Police into the trafficking of illicit substances across State borders.

As a result of investigations, on Friday 20 August a 40-year-old man from Henley Beach was arrested and charged for allegedly using postal services to traffic large amounts of cannabis to Queensland and in turn receive money payments.

Upon searching the man's home police located approximately 2kg of pre packed dried cannabis, over $14,000 cash and further evidence of drug trafficking.

He was charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis and money laundering. He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
