Drug Charges, Russell Island

Police have charged a man with drug offences after they executed a search warrant at a Russell Island residence last week.

It will be alleged officers located three kilograms of cannabis inside a property on 11 June.

A 60-year-old Russell Island man has been charged with one count each of possession of a schedule 2 drug quantity exceeding schedule 3 possession limits, supplying dangerous drugs, possession of property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.

He was issued with a Notice to Appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on 7 July.
