Police have charged a 46-year-old man with drug and property offences following a seven-month operation targeting the supply of dangerous drugs in the South West District.
Between May and December this year officers from the Dalby Criminal Investigation Branch executed several search warrants at a Dalby address allegedly confiscating four firearms, a replica handgun, 314 grams of methylamphetamine, 139 grams of GHB, an amount of cannabis, prescription medication, $12,050 in cash and seven mobile phones.
A 46-year-old Dalby man has been charged with 28 offences including 12 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of possess anything used in the commission of a crime and possess utensils and one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of a category B weapon, producing dangerous drugs, possessing proceeds obtained from supplying dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property, possessing suspected stolen property and authority required to possess explosives.
He is due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on 10 February.
South West District Detective Inspector Andrew Trenerry said the operation successfully removed a significant quantity of drugs from the streets in Dalby and disrupted an established supplier.
"This protracted operation used multiple investigative strategies to detect and disrupt major drug activity in the community, which has had a significant impact on residents," said Detective inspector Trenerry.
"These substances destroy lives and fund further criminal activity, which is why we will continue to pursue those responsible.
"I commend our community for reporting these unacceptable crimes and encourage the public to continue supporting police to keep the community safe."
