Drug operation chargesin Brisbane

Police have charged 24 people with 62 charges in the wake of a 12-month operation into a criminal organisation operating in the suburbs of Brisbane.

A total of 6 people were charged with Trafficking Dangerous Drugs.

During Operation Quebec Viper detectives from North Brisbane CIB successfully used a number of covert strategies alongside traditional investigative techniques were used to progress the investigation.

Police will allege the drug trafficking syndicate, which dealt in various drugs such as Heroin and illegal pharmaceutical drugs, has been successfully dismantled.

A 46-year-old Boondall woman and a 72-year-old Stafford woman have each been charged with drug trafficking.

The 72-year-old woman appeared in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court yesterday, and was granted bail.

The 46-yar-old woman appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
