Drugs and cash seized in Melbourne CBD

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit officers, with assistance from the Dog Squad have arrested a male and female and seized cash and drugs at an apartment in Melbourne this morning (21 September), Victoria Police say.

A traffickable quantity of what is alleged to be methyl amphetamine, GHB and cannabis was seized during the execution of warrants.

In addition to the illicit substances, police also seized a large amount of money, prescription medication, multiple mobile phones and high end jewellery from the premises.

One male, a 31-year-old from Melbourne has been charged with trafficking and possessing a drug of dependence and possessing the proceeds of crime.

The 31-year-old male has been remanded in custody until 3 October.

A 31-year-old female from Brighton was charged with possessing a drug of dependence and has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on 28 November.
