Drugs, cash and luxury goods seized during Operation Unite

Investigators from the Southern Bayside Frontline Tactical Unite, Caulfield Divisional Response Unit and the Chelsea Police Station have arrested two men and a woman as part Operation Unite, a taskforce investigation into drug cultivation and trafficking in Melbourne's bayside suburbs.

The trio were arrested after a search warrant was executed on a property in Burraneer Drive, Keysborough on Friday morning, 13 March.

Police allegedly found about three kilograms of dried cannabis, along with ecstasy tablets and powder believed to be heroin.

Also seized was $263,000 in cash, a luxury watch, handbags, belts and bracelets.

Police also uncovered equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis, including transformers, light shrouds, pots and tubing.

Investigators have linked the equipment to a search on an Edithvale property on 12 March where 86 cannabis plants were seized.

A man and woman, both aged 28-years-old, were arrested and charged with various offences including drug trafficking and possession.

They have been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrate's Court in December this year.

A 19-year-old man was released pending further inquiries.
