Drugs found during vehicle search on Mitchell Highway – Narromine

A man has been charged after drugs and drug paraphernalia were located during a vehicle search near Narromine.

About 6.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 19 June 2019) police stopped a black Holden Commodore, approximately 18km north of Narromine on the Mitchell Highway.

After a short conversation with the driver, aged 54, officers attached to Central North Police District Target Action Group, and Central North Criminal Investigators, searched the vehicle, seizing cannabis and numerous clear resealable bags.

A bag containing a crystal substance was also found, along with two sets of scales.

The drugs, drug paraphernalia and a mobile phone were seized.

The man was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, and drug supply.

He was bail refused and will appear before Dubbo Local Court today (Thursday 20 June 2019).
