Drugs, guns and cash seized in Sunshine North

Detectives from the Drug Taskforce have arrested a man and seized drugs, cash and a firearm in Sunshine North this morning.

Police including members of the Critical Incident Response Team executed a warrant at a residential premises on Eastcote Street shortly after 5am and arrested a 32-year Sunshine North man.

He will now be interviewed by police.

Detectives also seized drugs including ICE and heroin, a firearm, ammunition, stolen property and a significant quantity of cash.

Today's arrest and seizures form part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Melbourne's western suburbs.
