Drugs located in Southbank intercept

A driver has been arrested after police located drugs and weapons in his vehicle in Southbank yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Melbourne West police intercepted a vehicle on Whiteman Street about 1.20am.

A search of the car uncovered a quantity of drugs, a taser and a knife.

The 27-year-old Keilor Downs man was charged with trafficking and possession of drugs and possession of prohibited and controlled weapons.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
