Detectives from the Clandestine Laboratory Squad arrested three people this morning and uncovered a clandestine laboratory as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The arrests follow an 18-month long investigation.
The warrants executed this morning in Cairnlea, Keilor, Maidstone and Sunshine located manufacturing equipment, precursor chemicals documents and proceeds of crime.
Police continue to search of the properties as part of the investigation.
Two men, aged 49 from Cairnlea and 40 from Maidstone man have both been charged with cultivate and traffick large commercial quantity of cannabis, manufacture and possess pre cursor chemicals and equipment.
A third man, a 48-year-old from Sunshine has been charged with cultivate and traffick large commercial quantity of cannabis.
The trio will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
