Duo charged after St Kilda assault

Two men have been charged following an alleged assault of a man and his dog in St Kilda on 15 September.

A 25-year old man and a 20-year-old man were charged with affray, intentionally cause injury and make threats to kill.

The pair, both from St Kilda West, are expected to be charged and summonsed to appear at a Magistrates' Court at a later date.

The charges relate to the alleged assault of an Elwood man on Barkly Street following a verbal dispute with a woman at a dog park off Acland Street about 4.30pm.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The man's dog was allegedly kicked but not injured in the incident.
