Dying To Know day

You may have seen media reports this week about Bendigo mum, Kerry Robertson, who became the first Victorian woman to end her life under the state's new voluntary assisted dying laws. This is a timely reminder to talk to family and loved ones about planning for end of life care. Many people are dying in a way not consistent with their values or wishes.

Thursday 8 August is Dying To Know (DTK) day which aims to activate conversations and curiosity about dying, caring, grieving and loss. By encouraging death literacy and providing a space to talk about end of life plans, we can help people, families and communities to do death better.

There are plenty of resources online and in your local library about the subject to help you. The DTK website is a good place to start https://www.dyingtoknowday.org/death-literacy
