East Melbourne Burglary Probe Yields More Charges

North West Metro Regional Crime Squad detectives have charged two men following an investigation into an alleged aggravated burglary in East Melbourne on 4 September.

On Monday detectives executed a search warrant at a storage facility on Pascoe Vale Road, Essendon. During the warrant investigators located and seized various ammunition and a significant quantity of drugs, including:

• Approximately 1.5kg of Methyl-amphetamine

• Approximately 100g of Cocaine

• Approximately nine litres of 1,4-Butanediol

Today detectives executed a further search warrant at an address on Chetwynd Street in North Melbourne, seizing a further quantity of drugs of dependence.

At that location detectives arrested a 50-year-old man in relation to the drugs seized on Monday.

He has been charged with possess Methyl-amphetamine and was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 29 May 2026.

A 48-year-old Pascoe Vale man who was previously arrested has been charged with:

• Traffick large commercial quantity Methylamphetamine

• Traffick commercial quantity 1,4-Butanediol

• Traffick cocaine

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 10 December 2025.

Earlier this month and last month a number of other people were charged in relation to the aggravated burglary and a spate of other alleged incidents since July in suburbs including: Armadale, South Yarra, Maribyrnong, South Morang, Campbellfield, Lynbrook, East Melbourne, and Sunbury.
