Eaton Mall Bollard Project underway

Works have begun to install bollards at Eaton Mall to improve pedestrian safety and deter vehicle entry, including motorbikes.

Installation of bollards at the Chester and Portman Street entrances to the mall will begin on Wednesday, 10 July 2019. There will be some disruption and delays to traffic with these works, mostly when concrete is being poured and traffic management will be in place to guide vehicles and pedestrians through the works.

The project is already underway at the Atherton Road entrance to the mall.

These works form part of a major project to improve the streetscape of Atherton Road and enhancing the Oakleigh Activity Centre.

This project is jointly funded by Monash Council and the State Government and will be completed in August 2019.
