Whether you live in Echuca or love to visit, now is your chance to help our town take out Victoria's top tourism honour. Echuca has once again been named a finalist in the Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards, following strong performances in 2022, 2023 and 2024 – including a silver win in 2022. With public voting now open, Campaspe Shire Council is encouraging locals, visitors and supporters from across the region to help Echuca bring home the gold in 2025.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell said the town's consistent recognition reflects its strength as a tourism destination and the passion of its community.

"Echuca has been a finalist three years running, and we're incredibly proud of that.

"Our Tourism Team has driven this nomination and now we're aiming for gold – and with your vote, we can get there," Cr Mackrell said.

The Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards celebrate destinations that offer outstanding visitor experiences and demonstrate strong collaboration between tourism operators, businesses and the community.

"These awards are about more than just a title – they recognise the effort that goes into making a town truly memorable for visitors.

"Echuca's heritage, hospitality and natural beauty make it a standout, and this is our chance to share that with the rest of the country." Cr Mackrell added.

A win this year would see Echuca represent Victoria at the national awards, showcasing the town on a broader stage.

"We've come close before, and now we have a real opportunity to take that next step.

"Let's get behind our town and show why Echuca deserves to be named Victoria's top tourism destination," urged Cr Mackrell.

Voting is open to the public from Friday, 6 until Friday, 27 June.
