Elderly Man Missing From Auburn, Public's Help Sought

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's south west.

George Choueri, aged 82, was last on Northumberland Road, Auburn, about 6.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 February 2026).

When he was unable to be contacted and located, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for George's welfare as he lives with dementia.

George is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 170cm tall, of thin build, with short grey/white hair and beard.

He was last seen wearing a light pink sweater, blue shorts and black slides.

George is known to frequent the Auburn area.
