Elderly pedestrian knocked down by car - Corner Harrington and Victoria Street Hobart

At about 2.50pm Tuesday 30 April, an 81 year old elderly female pedestrian, from Kingston Beach was attempting to cross Victoria Street near the intersection of Harrington Street Hobart.

As she was stepping off to cross the road, a Grey Nissan Pathfinder, driven by a 49 year old man from Oyster Cove has been turning into Victoria Street from Harrington Street and has collided with the pedestrian, knocking her to the ground.

The pedestrian was attended to by Tasmania Ambulance and taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for assessment and treatment with non life threatening injuries.

Any witnesses who saw the crash or either party immediately prior to the crash should contact Hobart Police Station on 131444.
