Snowy Monaro Regional Council has announced a series of information sessions across the region for any community members considering standing in the upcoming 2021 local government elections.
The sessions will be hosted by Council's Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bascomb, who has worked at the highest levels of local government in NSW for decades.
"As local government has never received the level of media or academic attention as state, federal and international politics, it's important that people thinking about entering this arena are able to learn what to expect," said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
