Electric vehicle charging station at Council's Corporate Centre

Electric Vehicle drivers can now charge up at Council's Corporate Centre at 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham.

Our first electric vehicle charging station has been installed and is ready to use.

One of the themes identified in Council's Climate Emergency Action Plan is the move to 'zero carbon' transport.

The new electric vehicle charging station is one step towards driving the transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to sustainable transport, such as walking, cycling, public transport and electric vehicles powered by renewable energy.

Council has also added five fully electric vehicles to the Council fleet with separate charging stations at the Corporate Centre. These new fleet vehicles are powered by renewable electricity supplied to the Corporate Centre.

Council is investigating further suitable public Electric Vehicle charging sites for public use.
