Electric Vehicle-Related Investments 25 February

Natural Resources Canada

Today, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Natural Resources, announced a total investment of $18,531,882 for 26 projects to install up to 2,416 electric vehicle (EV) chargers, more than 1,880 of which will be installed across the Greater Vancouver Area.

Through the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Demonstration Program, NRCan provided a $2-million investment to Tap & Go to develop innovative electric vehicle charging infrastructure that directly connects with users' utility accounts. The project will also generate data for utilities to better understand and forecast EV adoption and power demand. In addition, through the Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative, NRCan provided two contributions of $49,000 each to 7-Eleven Canada, Inc.

The 23 projects listed below were funded through Natural Resources Canada's Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP).
