Emergency crews responding to fatal house fire - Campsie

Emergency services remain at the scene of a fatal house fire at Campsie.

Just before 5pm today (Tuesday 30 March 2021), emergency services were called to a home at Evaline Street near Loftus Street at Campsie, following reports of a house fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, an 80-year-old woman died at the scene.

Two teenage boys – aged 14 and 16 – were evacuated from the home and are being treated by paramedics.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command remain at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze.

Inquiries are continuing and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
