Emergency crews responding to fatal house fire, Carina

Police are investigating after a house fire claimed the life of a woman at Carina yesterday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a residence on Sankey Street just after 4pm and found the home engulfed by flames.

The blaze was extinguished by fire crews and a further inspection of the house resulted in the location a 46-year-old woman deceased.

A crime scene was declared and investigations will continue overnight to determine the cause of the blaze.
