Emergency crews responding to house fire - North Bondi

Police are investigating a house fire in Sydney's eastern suburbs overnight.

About 12.30am (Monday 29 July 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Stewart Street, North Bondi, following reports of a house well alight.

The blaze was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW, but the house suffered extensive damage.

The five occupants of the house – two adults and three children – escaped without injury.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, initial inquiries suggest the fire may be suspicious.
