Emergency crews responding to vehicle fire - Alice Springs 22 June

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service crews have saved a home following a fire which destroyed a parked vehicle in Alice Springs earlier this morning,

Around 4am Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services responded to multiple reports of smoke and explosions in the area of Lyndavale Drive.

On arrival, crews found a vehicle parked adjacent to a home, fully ablaze with fire threatening to enter the roof cavity of the nearby home.

Within 15 minutes fire crews managed to get the fire under control, further preventing the spread of fire into the house.

The vehicle was completely destroyed and the house sustained minor damage to the exterior of the building as a result of the blaze. Thankfully no one was injured.

Northern Territory Fire Investigators will assist Northern Territory Police with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.
