Emergency Teams Tackle Torrensville House Fire

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at Torrensville last night.

Just after 10pm Tuesday 12 March emergency services were called to West Street after reports of a house fire.

When emergency services arrived at the scene a large amount of smoke was issuing from one side of the single story duplex. The occupants managed escaped without injury and MFS brought the blaze under control in about 30 minutes but damage was caused to the adjoining premises. There were no injuries.

Fire Cause Investigators attended the scene to gather evidence while patrols conducted door knocks of the area. It's believed the fire may have been deliberately lit after traces of an accelerant were allegedly located.
