Emilia Clarke, Jack Huston to Star in Phillip Noyce Thriller ‘Above Suspicion’

Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston are set to star in thriller Above Suspicion, The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Phillip Noyce, who last directed Jeff Bridges in The Giver, will helm the film that is based on the book of the same name from New York Times columnist Joe Sharkey and will be adapted by screenwriter Chris Gerolmo.

The story follows a newly married FBI agent as he is assigned to an Appalachian mountain town, where he takes up an illicit affair with a local woman who becomes his star informant.

Colleen Camp, Mohamed AlRafi and Tim Degraye will produce the project along with Angela Amato-Velez and Amy Adelson.

Principal photography on the film is slated to begin at the end of this month.

Sierra/Affinity will be shopping the project to international buyers at the Cannes film market.

Clarke is best known for her role on HBO's Game of Thrones, where she plays Daenerys Targaryen, a part that has earned her two Emmy nominations. Her last turn in a feature film was as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys, and she will next be seen in the romantic drama Me Before You, opposite Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games).

Huston, who co-starred on HBO's Boardwalk Empire, recently appeared in the Coen Bros.' Hail Caesar! and the genre bender Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. He will next be seen starring in MGM's remake of the biblical epic Ben-Hur.
