Enforcement framework call for evidence government response

The government has responded to the call for evidence on the intellectual property (IP) enforcement framework. This informal consultation was carried out in October 2020 and received 88 responses.

The aim of the call for evidence was to find out the issues rights holders may face when enforcing their IP rights. These rights include copyright, patents, trade marks and designs. We also wanted to understand which parts of the framework work well.

The government response provides a summary of all responses to the consultation. It sets out the steps we can take to improve rights holders' experiences when using the IP framework.

The Intellectual Property Office is responsible for the IP enforcement framework. It develops policies to ensure that the framework is up-to-date, fit for purpose, and accessible to all IP right holders.

The government response to the Review of the IP enforcement framework: Call for Evidence is available on GOV.UK.
