An Engadine woman is swapping her weeknight dinner for a Wagyu feast after a recent free ticket served her a sizzling $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win.
The south Sydney resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot in draw 1757, drawn Wednesday 21 January 2026. She looks forward to $200,000.
When we called, the winning woman struggled to wrap her head around her major prize win.
"Is this really real? Are you really calling me from The Lott?!" she exclaimed.
"Oh my god! I can't believe it!
"I'm the sort of person who is so excited winning a free ticket, so this is just unreal.
"Speaking of free tickets, this winning ticket was a free ticket. Oh my goodness!
"As I've been speaking to you, I just messaged my daughters telling them I won the lottery. They just responded saying, 'Stop it! Bullsh*t! Shut up mum!'.
"I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day convincing them it's real."
With $200,000 heading her way, the winning woman knew exactly how she'd put her prize to good use, starting with a juicy steak for dinner.
"It was just the other day my daughters and I were saying that we don't have steak anymore because it's just so expensive. You know what, I'm going to do a big steak cook up and invite them around," she said.
"I might share some of the prize with my kids too.
"What a blessing!"
Her winning ticket of one random number was from Engadine Newsagency, Lot 1, 1047-1049, Old Princes Highway, Engadine.
Engadine Newsagency manager Diana Coombs shared she was thrilled to hear her outlet had sold another major prize winning entry to a local customer.
"We were all so excited to hear a local customer had won big from a ticket at our outlet," she said.
"Last year, we sold a number of division one and division two prizes, so it's good to kickstart the new year with another major prize winning entry.
"We're excited to spread the news in our community and tell everyone we've once again sold a major prize winning entry.
"A big congratulations to our winner! We're all so happy for you, and slightly envious."
