The Josh's Rainbow Eggs Macedon Ranges Business Excellence Awards recognises and acknowledges deserving businesses for their outstanding service, innovation, adaptability, products and professionalism.
Entrants, finalists and winners will be offered a valuable range of opportunities and experiences, at no cost, that will enhance and improve their business. Businesses enter the awards via a self-nomination process and are supported through the process with mentoring and workshop opportunities.
Mayor Cr Jennifer Anderson said the awards were a welcomed opportunity to celebrate business excellence across a range of industries in the shire and encouraged local businesses to put themselves forward.
"Local businesses offer visitors and locals alike a unique range of products, services and experiences."
"Council recognises the immense contribution by local businesses to our economy and community wellbeing, and the 2021 Business Excellence Awards are an opportunity to celebrate their achievements," she said.
This year's awards have a strong focus on innovation and adaptability as well as on trainees and apprentices. All businesses registered in Macedon Ranges Shire are eligible to enter. The award categories will showcase the diversity of businesses throughout the shire:

- Excellence in Health, Wellness and Care

- Excellence in Professional Services

- Champion of Social, Environmental or Sustainability Principles
- COVID-19 Business Adaptability
- People's Choice Award
Local businesses are encouraged to self-nominate by 20 August 2021. Three workshops will be held in August that will provide businesses with an opportunity to learn from experienced business professionals by participating in the mentoring program. Sessions will be held on 9, 10 and 11 August.
