Economic growth and the creation of good jobs for Atlantic Canadians require constant innovation. To develop and grow a sustainable economy, businesses in the region must continue to pursue technology innovations that are good for productivity and the environment.
Today, the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA announced a repayable contribution of $437,500 to Envirem Organics Inc. to help the company improve efficiencies and reduce costs in ways that also benefit the environment.
This investment will allow the company to replace an existing diesel grinder with an electric one. The project is expected to save Envirem $370,000 annually and significantly reduce its environmental footprint.
The Government of Canada is committed to helping more businesses like Envirem Organics Inc. pursue projects that will allow them to scale-up, increase productivity and help grow a greener economy.
