The independent report to Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) into a proposed new abattoir and meat processing facility at Gillieston, is available online from today.
The report follows a public conference to discuss the application from Meatworks Australia Pty Ltd for EPA Works Approval for the construction of a facility at 630 Lancaster-Mooroopna Road, Gillieston.
Under the Environment Protection Act 1970, the Works Approval process has included public submissions, followed by the Section 20B conference, which included information on the proposal and the approval process, then discussion of possible resolutions to matters raised in the submissions.
